HansiFoam® – Gaskets

Many enclosures for industrial and consumer products require a dust- and waterproof gasket. In order to ensure a secure sealing under different operating conditions such as heat, cold, rain or vibrations, while not stressing the construction, the gaskets must be soft. Only foams combine elasticity and softness to a suitable degree.

HANSI has therefore developed a 2K foam system in which a reaction mixture in liquid or paste-like form is applied to the gasket seat, where it foams up freely and reacts seamlessly.

The result is a foam gasket, also known as FIPFG (Formed in Place Foam Gasket). Our product range is named Hansifoam®.

Due to the fast process, the seal is ready for use after a few hours, after which it is extremely durable under normal conditions of use.

You will find suitable products for any requirement in the HANSI Development Center Germany GmbH range. HansiFoam® is available on polyurethane basis, as well as on silicone basis for higher requirements.

We would be pleased to provide you with an overview and an initial selection of the respective suitable foam system. Of course, depending on the requirements, product properties with special demands can also be modified to your specifications. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Typical properties Typical applications

Typical properties

  • Mixed closed / open cell structure, therefore good sealing effect and gap tolerance
  • Adjustable hardness from very soft (approx. 30 Shore OO) to very hard (approx. 30 Shore A)
